LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCES REPUBLICAN MEMBERSHIP OF ENERGY COMMITTEE

Washington, D.C. - Senate Energy & Natural Resources Chairman Pete V. Domenici issued a warm welcome to the three Republican senators joining the energy committee in the 110th Congress. The Republican roster for the committee next year is:

Pete V. Domenici, New Mexico, Ranking Member; Larry Craig, Idaho; Craig Thomas, Wyoming; Lisa Murkowski, Alaska; Richard Burr, North Carolina; Jim Demint, South Carolina; Bob Corker, Tennessee; Jeff Sessions, Alabama; Gordon Smith, Oregon; Jim Bunning, Kentucky; and Mel Martinez, Florida.

Chairman Domenici’s statement:

“I am pleased to welcome Senators Demint, Corker and Sessions to our committee. These three men bring talent, expertise and commitment to our panel. I look forward to their contributions. I’m sorry to see Sen. Alexander go and wish him well in his new committee assignment. We have a lot of issues we want to address in the next Congress.
