Philadelphia man sentenced to over 12 Years for '6th felony narcotics conviction'

A Pennsylvania man will spend over a decade in federal prison for his sixth felony narcotics conviction.

William Mach, 34, of Philadelphia, will spend 12 years and seven months in prison for "selling large amounts of narcotics," according to a Feb. 23 press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

“Mr. Mack was not a novice narcotics trafficker," FBI Special Agent in Charge, Jacqueline Maguire, said in the release. “His sentence is a direct result of his brazen illegal activities and his apparent view that the consequences did not outweigh the benefits of peddling poison."

Criminal actions have consequences, and those involved in the drug trade should know that the FBI is actively pursuing these cases in order to combat the impact this toxin is having on communities, Maguire added.

Mack pleaded guilty in September 2021 for distributing large amounts of methamphetamine, the release stated. He operated a drug trafficking organization in and around Northeast Philadelphia.

Court documents report that Mack sold large amounts of the drugs to an FBI confidant, including almost 1 pound of methamphetamine worth $6,300.

Mack will serve five years of supervised release after his incarceration, according to the release.
