Concord, NH - Great way to start April, “Fugitive of the Week," Jeanne Andrews, 40, was arrested today by the U.S. Marshals - NH Joint Fugitive Task Force and the Rochester Police Department. Andrews was wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants, including Strafford County, where she was wanted for bail violations on a charge of Sales of Fentanyl and Rockingham County, where she was wanted for failing to appear on a charge of sales of Klonopin.
As part of this investigation, Andrews had just been featured as the “Fugitive of the Week" on March 6th.. This feature was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link, The Rochester Voice and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week" has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week" is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.
Due to the “Fugitive of the Week" program, several tips recently came in to the U.S. Marshals. These tips pointed to an apartment in the 100 block of South Main Street in Rochester. It was at this residence that Andrews was located hiding inside of a bedroom closet. Andrews was arrested without any further incident and transported to the Strafford County Jail, where she will be held pending her court appearances in both Strafford and Rockingham County Superior Courts.
It was also learned today that “Fugitive of the Week," Jonathan Harney, 36 was arrested by members of the Dover Police Department on March 26th. Harney had been featured as the “Fugitive of the Week" on February 6th. A large part of the distribution of the “Fugitive of the Week" is to all law enforcement officers within the State of New Hampshire, which is a huge force multiplier. The officers of the Dover Police Department were able to spot Mr. Harney on March 26th and arrest him on his outstanding Strafford County warrant for failing to appear on charges of possession of heroin. We cannot thank the officers of the Dover Police Department enough for their efforts to take Mr. Harney into custody.
