Williamsport, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Norman Dennis - a 41-year old Drexel Hill man - and Robert Vettese - 30-year old man formerly of Brookhaven, Pennsylvania.

On March 31, 2019, the Pennsylvania State Police (Montoursville barracks) investigated an incident during which a pedestrian was struck with a vehicle and shot at with a handgun in Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County. As a result of that investigation, troopers obtained arrest warrants charging Dennis and Vettese with Criminal Attempt Homicide and lesser included offenses. Attempts to find the two men were unsuccessful and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force was asked to apprehend them.

This morning the fugitive investigation led the task force to a home in the 500 block of Shadeland Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA - where Dennis and Vettese were arrested without incident. The Pennsylvania State Police took custody of both for their eventual return to Lycoming County.

United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “Crimes of violence are of the highest priority for the Fugitive Task Force. The Marshals Service and our partners recognize the importance of bringing those charged with such crimes to justice. It is my sincere hope that the arrest of this fugitive brings some sense of relief to the community."

The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies, including: the Pennsylvania State Police, the Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office and the Williamsport Bureau of Police - all of whom participated in this investigation.
