Washington - Derrick Driscoll received approval as U.S. Marshals Service acting deputy director by Attorney General William Barr April 23, announced USMS Director Donald Washington.
Driscoll most recently held the post of associate director for operations and oversaw global investigative and security operations for the agency, since December 2017. Prior to assuming these duties, Driscoll served as assistant director of the Investigative Operations Division from 2014-2017, as well as assistant director and deputy assistant director of the Tactical Operations Division from 2012-2014. He oversaw the creation of the agency’s Sex Offender Investigations Branch and formation of the National Sex Offender Targeting Center. Additionally, Driscoll served as chief deputy U.S. marshal for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, one of the agency’s busiest district offices. He started his career with the agency as a deputy marshal there in March 1997.
Driscoll’s law enforcement career began in 1994 with the Hamden County Sheriff’s Department in Springfield, Massachusetts. He earned a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Security Management from the University of New Haven.
