Concord, NH - “Fugitive of the Week," Kevin Labelle, 27, was tracked down this afternoon, attempting to hide in an apartment in the West Side of Manchester. Labelle was wanted on 3 outstanding state arrest warrants. Labelle’s arrest warrants were for failure to register as a sex offender (Manchester Police Department), Forgery (Goffstown Police Department) and driving after being deemed a habitual offender (Hillsborough County Sheriff’s). Labelle was transported to the Manchester Police Department for processing.
As part of this investigation, Kevin Labelle had been featured as the “Fugitive of the Week" on Wednesday. This feature was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link, The Rochester Voice and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week" has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week" is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.
Although, the “Fugitive of the Week" feature produced numerous valuable tips on the location of Kevin Labelle, it was the determination of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force to develop those leads into an exact location of Labelle. The New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is comprised of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Belknap County Sheriff’s, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s, Rockingham County Sheriff’s and Strafford County Sherriff Deputies.
Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 7,475 arrests (Updated as of 12/10/2018). These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 8 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
