Harrisburg, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Ebert Jackson, whose last known address was 320 East Summerset Street in Philadelphia, PA.
On May 16, 2017, the Fairview Police responded to a residence and found an 18 year-old victim deceased from an apparent drug overdose. During the course of their investigation, Fairview Township Police identified Ebert Jackson as a suspect. On July 3, 2017, Fairview Township Police obtained an arrest warrant charging Jackson with Drug Delivery Resulting in Death. Attempts to find Jackson were unsuccessful and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force was asked to help locate and apprehend him.
This morning at approximately 7:45am, members of the task force went to the 100 block of Balm Street, Harrisburg, PA. When task force members made contact with residents of Balm Street, Jackson fled to the roof and was arrested without further incident. Task force members contacted Harrisburg City Vice to obtain a search warrant for the residence. Recovered during the search warrant was a.22 caliber revolver with an obliterated serial number, heroin, as well as other drug paraphernalia. Jackson was turned over to the Dauphin County Booking Center for arraignment. All additional charges will be handled by Harrisburg City Police. Jackson was also wanted out of Philadelphia on Felony Drug Charges.

The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies; including the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, Swatara Township Police Department, the Lower Paxton Township Police Department, and the Dauphin County Adult Probation Office - all of whom participated in this arrest.
