Harrisburg, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Joshua Matthew Johnson - a 28-year old Hanover man.
On Oct. 17, 2017, the Maryland State Police investigated the armed robbery of a convenience store on Liberty Road in Eldersburg, Maryland. On June 7, 2019, troopers obtained an arrest warrant charging Johnson with that robbery. They learned that Johnson lived in Hanover, Pennsylvania and asked the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force to apprehend him.
Yesterday at about 7 a.m., members of the fugitive task force arrested Johnson without incident in the 100 block of Broadway Street, Hanover. He was turned over to the York County Sheriff’s Central Booking Unit for arraignment as a fugitive from justice.

The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies, including: the Pennsylvania State Police; the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole; the York City Police Department; the York County Sheriff’s Department; and, the York County District Attorney’s Office - all of whom participated in this investigation.
