Burlington, VT - The U.S. Marshals Service, District of Vermont arrested a fugitive wanted by the state of Vermont for sexual assault of a minor under 16.
Keshawn Galloway, 18, of Burlington, was arrested in the early afternoon of Monday, July 15, 2019 when confronted by Deputy U.S. Marshals. After several interviews and many hours of surveillance, Deputy U.S. Marshals apprehended Galloway when confronted on Pearl Street in Burlington.
On June 21, 2019 Vermont Superior Court issued a warrant for Keshawn Galloway for sexual assault of a minor under 16 years old. The case started when a cyber tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which is the nation’s centralized reporting system for the online exploitation of children. Investigators from the Chittenden Unit for Special Investigations (CUSI) followed up on the tip leading to the issuance of the warrant for Galloway. The United States Marshals Service was asked to locate and apprehend Galloway by CUSI as his whereabouts were unknown.
Galloway is no stranger to the criminal justice world, specifically having seen his father Tim Galloway plead guilty in VT for trafficking drug-addicted women in 2016.
Galloway was in the Chittenden Vermont Superior Court on July 15, 2019 on the above listed arrest warrant. The outcome of this hearing was not available at the time of this release. All other inquiries regarding this case should be directed to CUSI.
