Concord, NH - This past Sunday, “Fugitive of the Week," Keith Pare, 44, was arrested by members of the Rochester (NH) Police Department. Pare was being sought on an outstanding Dover Police Department arrest warrant for failing to maintain his sex offender registration.
Mr. Pare was featured as the “Fugitive of the Week" on March 13, 2019. This feature was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link, the Rochester Voice and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week" continues to be a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week" is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.
Recently, the Dover Police Department put out a press release seeking information on the location of Keith Pare. This additional media coverage reinvigorated the investigation which led to Pare’s arrest this past weekend. On Sunday, an anonymous tipster contacted the Rochester Police Department and stated that fugitive Keith Pare was currently at local restaurant on North Main Street. Officers from the Rochester Police Department responded to this re3staurant, where Mr. Pare was arrested without incident.
Pare was transported to the Strafford County Jail for holding pending his initial court appearance on Monday.
Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 7,751 arrests (Updated as of 07/25/2019). These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 8 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
