Kansas City, MO - United States Marshal Mark S. James announced today the arrest of Matthew Carlock of Grandview this morning by the U.S. Marshals and Missouri State Highway Patrol for possession of child pornography following a multi-agency investigation.
A federal arrest warrant was issued for 33-year-old Matthew Carlock of Grandview on Aug. 29, 2019 following an investigation conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kansas City Missouri Police Department and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). He was indicted in federal court at the end of August 2019 with one count of Receipt of Child Pornography Over the Internet, one count of Attempted Distribution of Child Pornography Over the Internet, and one count of Possession of Child Pornography. The indictment was unsealed today following his arrest and initial appearance in federal court in Kansas City on the alleged charges. Carlock was arrested by deputies and troopers this morning at his home without incident.
