Scranton, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Luis Manuel Serrano-Delgado - a 19-year old Harrisburg man.
On July 6, 2018, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police investigated the shooting death of a man near the intersection of South 14th and Kittatinny Streets.
On Sept. 11, 2019, as a result of that investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Serrano-Delgado with Murder, Robbery and lesser included offenses. Attempts to find Serrano-Delgado were unsuccessful and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force was asked to apprehend him.
Today at about 11:15 a.m., the fugitive investigation led to the 300 block of Brokas Drive, Swatara Township - where Serrano-Delgado was arrested without incident. He was turned over to the Harrisburg Bureau of Police.
United States Marshal Pane stated, “It’s the Marshals Services’ duty to ensure that those charged with violent crimes have their day in court. It is my sincere hope that the victim’s family will find some measure of comfort knowing the suspect will face justice."
The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 20 state, county and local police agencies; including the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, the Dauphin County Adult Probation Office, the Swatara Township Police Department and the Lower Paxton Township Police Department - all of whom participated in this arrest.
