Marine Michael Brown Arrested After Two-Week Manhunt Fugitive found Wednesday in Franklin County, Virginia

Washington - After more than two weeks on the run, Marine Michael Brown was arrested without incident Wednesday at approximately 8:00 a.m. in Franklin County, Virginia.

Brown, 22, is wanted for allegedly killing Rodney Wilfred Brown, 54, on Nov. 9 in Hardy, Virginia. He was charged with homicide by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

The manhunt gained momentum when U.S. Marshals and other authorities assisting in the search received a tip that refocused their attention on a residence belonging to the victim at 241 Woodthrush Circle, Hardy, Virginia. During the search of the property, authorities found Brown and took him into custody without incident.

Brown is currently in the custody of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
