WASHINGTON, D.C. -House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) today released the following statement regarding an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) decision to delay implementation of a new rule impacting operators of large boilers:
“EPA’s proposed Boiler MACT rule would put more than 300,000 U.S. jobs at risk. The agency’s decision to delay implementation of this rule is a temporary stay of career execution for these workers, but the greater challenge remains: ending job-killing regulations that push employers overseas.
“President Obama said that some regulations are deeply flawed. That being the case, it’s hard to imagine a better poster-child than the latest incarnation of Boiler MACT."
