U.S. Marshals Arrest Massacre Suspect in Puerto Rico

San Juan, PR - U.S. Marshal Wilmer Ocasio-Ibarra announces the arrest of Juan Sierra Jimenez, a dangerous fugitive and main suspect of a shooting that left five people dead.

On Oct. 14, 2019 a drug related shootout took place in the Ramos Antonini public housing project where five people were shot and killed. According to the Puerto Rico Police Bureau (PRPB), the main suspect was Juan Sierra Jimenez. Sierra Jimenez was on supervised release at the time of the incident.

Puerto Rico Violent Offenders Task Force (PRVOTF) investigators quickly began searching for Sierra Jimenez based on violations of his supervised release conditions.

Sierra Jimenez was featured as one of the top ten most wanted in the District of Puerto Rico.

On March 22, 2021 PRVOTF and PRPB agents located the residence of Sierra Jimenez in the Jardines de Selle public housing project, where he was placed under arrest without incident.

An AK-47, Glock pistol, narcotics and a large amount of U.S. currency was also found in the residence.

“This is another significant arrest since the new initiative led by the U.S. Marshals took place. We will continue working closely with our state local law enforcement partners to make our streets and communities a safer one" said U.S. Marshal Wilmer Ocasio-Ibarra.
