Memphis, TN - U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the capture of a Memphis juvenile murder suspect in North Mississippi.
Earlier this evening, the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a 14-year-old male for Second Degree Murder.
On April 11, 2021, an unidentified subject was shot to death in a residence at the 3200 block of Forest Brook in Memphis, TN. A warrant was issued for Second Degree Murder for this crime.
The task force tracked the fugitive to a residence in the 5700 block of Chance Drive N, in Horn Lake, MS. He attempted to escape apprehension by leaping from a second story window, but he was quickly arrested. He did not suffer any injuries.
“This fugitive was not confined by a state line despite his young age," said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. “The Marshals Service was pleased to safely take him into custody."
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force in the Western District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
