WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, Ranking Member on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, issued a statement in response to a supplemental report issued today by the Inspector General for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) revealing multiple additional leaks of confidential, deliberative information from current Board Member Terence Flynn to former NLRB Member Peter Schaumber. The Inspector General concluded that “the issues identified in this report, and those of the prior report, evidence a serious threat to the Board’s decisional due process."
“Today’s new revelations of additional leaks of highly deliberative information to Mr. Schaumber raise serious concerns," said Cummings. “Even more troubling is that House Republicans refuse to investigate these leaks, bury their heads in the sand, and continue to ignore documented wrongdoing by Republican NLRB officials. This is not the even-handed and rigorous congressional oversight the American people expect and deserve."
