Concord, NH - The U.S. Marshals - NH Joint Fugitive Task Force is extremely happy to announce the arrest of another “Fugitive of the Week" by police officers in Somersworth, New Hampshire.
Craig Robert Wiggin, 43 years-of-age, was last known to in Rochester, NH when he became a fugitive. Wiggin was wanted on multiple outstanding arrest warrants, including bail violations on an original charge of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, failure to maintain his sex offender registration, and operating a motor vehicle after revocation or suspension.
As part of this investigation, Mr. Wiggin had been featured as the “Fugitive of the Week" on Nov. 17, 2021. This feature was aired on WTPL-FM, WNTK-FM, WTSN-FM, WEMJ-FM, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link, The Rochester & Lebanon Voice and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week" continues to be a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of over 500 fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week" was also to be distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers in New Hampshire.
After Mr. Wiggin had been featured as the “Fugitive of the Week," a lot of tips were received pointing to locations in both New Hampshire and Maine. The most recent information provided to the Somersworth Police Department indicated that Wiggin was in and around the Somersworth, NH area. Alert officers were able to see Mr. Wiggin in a car last evening and the vehicle was stopped by multiple officers from the Somersworth Police Department. Wiggin was ordered from the car at gunpoint and was arrested without incident. After being processed at the Somersworth Police Department, Wiggin was transported to the Strafford County Jail where he will be held pending his initial court appearances on his multiple charges.

Since the inception of the U.S. Marshals - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 8,218 arrests (Updated as of 12/16/2020). These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 8 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
