President Signs Oversight’s Bill to Assist OPM Inspector General into Law

WASHINGTON - House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) today offered the following statement on the President signing H.R. 2860, Office of Personnel Management Inspector General (OPM IG) Act, into law:

“This bill links the growth of resources for the Inspector General of the Office of Personnel Management to that of the agency he oversees. I applaud Chairman Farenthold’s efforts in stewarding this common sense reform into law."

The legislation was sponsored by Federal Workforce Subcommittee Chairman Blake Farenthold, R-Texas.

The OPM IG Act was passed through the Oversight Committee on October 29th, 2013.
