Cummings to Host Forum on Childhood Trauma in Baltimore City

Washington, D.C. -On Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, Rep. Elijah E. Cummings (D-MD), the Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, will host a forum on “Preventing, Treating, and Healing Childhood Trauma in Baltimore City." Chairman Cummings will be joined by officials representing Baltimore City, experts on trauma and its effect on children, and community stakeholders touched by and working to mitigate the impact of trauma. The forum is a follow up to a July Committee hearing on “Identifying, Preventing, and Treating Childhood Trauma: A Pervasive Public Health Issue that Needs Greater Federal Attention."
