Today, House Committee on Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (R-Ky.) released a video emphasizing President Biden’s failure to fully reopen America’s public schools in his first 100 days and the detrimental impacts prolonged closures are having on children:
“All over America, millions of children have suffered from prolonged, unnecessary school closures. The science and experts made it abundantly clear that we can reopen schools safely, but under President Biden only 50% of America’s schools have fully reopened. In his first 100 days, President Biden has broken his promise to reopen schools and follow the science. It’s past time for this administration to put the needs of students first and take the steps necessary to reopen America’s classrooms. Republicans will continue to champion the science, push to reopen our schools, and prioritize a generation of children at risk of being forgotten."
