WASHINGTON-House Committee on Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (R-Ky.) today blasted President Biden’s announcement requiring federal employees to be vaccinated or undergo regular testing, masks, and social distancing.
“President Biden’s mandate on federal workers is another pandemic power grab placing our nation further on the pathway to vaccine passports. To be clear, I encourage all Americans to get vaccinated to protect themselves from the coronavirus. However, placing nanny-state mandates on the American people dictating that they must comply or else runs contrary to our nation’s cherished value of individual liberty. I am deeply concerned the Biden Administration’s authoritarian mandates are setting up different sets of rights for Americans based on their personal medical decisions. Americans ought to be concerned about using the levers of government power to attack liberty rather than protect it. Congress must hold the Biden Administration accountable."
