Miller: Texas man arrested and charged for 'unspeakable crimes' against children

A man from Denton County, Texas, received a 45-year federal prison sentence for five counts of production of child pornography and one count of transportation of pornography, according to a March 16 news release from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Aliyah George Simpson, 26, reportedly admitted to abusing victims on multiple occasions, including filming sexual acts undertaken on an unconscious victim and enticing others to send him explicit videos of themselves.

“HSI works relentlessly with our law enforcement partners at all levels to ensure child predators face justice for their unspeakable crimes" Christopher Miller, acting special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations of Dallas said. “This lengthy sentence reaffirms our commitment to protecting the innocence of our most vulnerable from sexual abuse and exploitation.”

Authorities received a tip someone was using an online cloud storage service to transmit files of child pornography, leading to a warrant to search Simpson's house, where they seized several items of digital equipment, the news release reported. A forensic analysis of Simpson's digital equipment led to the discovery of several images and videos of minors under the age of 10.

This investigation and arrest were carried out as part of Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative launched in May 2006 by the U.S. Department of Justice. The initiative has the goal of fighting the increasing problem of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
