On March 22, 2022, the Federal Bureau of Investigation El Paso Field Office arrested 26-year-old Brendan Bradford from El Paso, Texas. Bradford has been charged by a federal criminal complaint filed today, March 23, 2022, with one count of 18 U.S.C. § 2252(a)(2)—Receipt and Distribution of a Visual Depiction Involving Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
At the end of February 2022, the FBI El Paso Field Office received a complaint that Bradford had been distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on social media platforms over the past three months.
The FBI El Paso’s Child Exploitation & Human Trafficking Task Force is investigating this case.
Upon conviction, Bradford faces up to 20 years in federal prison per count.
It is important to note that a criminal complaint is merely a charge and should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
