Birding Hikes with Dunes-Calumet Audubon Society offered at National Park

Join a birding expert from the Dunes-Calumet Audubon Society on Sundays, April 3, and May 1, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, for a migration birding hike. The April hike will be led by Kim Ehn. Meet in the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center and carpool to the birding spot of the month. No experience required. Bring binoculars and dress for the weather.

The national park will begin charging an entrance fee on March 31, 2022. The fee is $25 per car for a 1–7-day pass. A $45 annual pass for the Indiana Dunes National Park is also available. Holders of federal passes will not pay an entrance fee. For more information on other federal park passes and details about the new fee at Indiana Dunes National Park, go to www.nps.gov/indu. You can purchase passes or pay entrance fees at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center or at www.recreation.gov/sitepass/indu. Additional sites for purchasing passes will be available soon.

The Indiana Dunes Visitor Center is located at 1215 North State Road 49, about one mile north of Interstate 94.
