Committee to Hold Confirmation Hearing on January 20th

WASHINGTON -- The Senate Finance Committee will hold a confirmation hearing on Wednesday, January 20th, Chairman William V. Roth, Jr. (R-DE), announced today. The hearing will be held in room 215 Dirksen, beginning at 10 am.

The Committee plans to to conduct a hearing on the nomination of Susan Esserman, to be Deputy United States Trade Representative, and any other nominees, pending submission of all information required from each nominee, agency and the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), to the Finance Committee. Those nominees include: Timothy F. Geitner, to be Under Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs; Gary Gensler, to be Under Secretary of the Treasury for Domestic Finance; Edwin M. Truman, to be Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs; and, David C. Williams, to be Inspector General for Tax Administration for the Department of Treasury.
