COMMITTEE TO HEAR FROM RUBIN ON CLINTON BUDGET AND TAX PROPOSALS

WASHINGTON -- Senate Finance Committee Chairman William V. Roth, Jr. (R-DE) today announced that the Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at 10:00 a.m. in Room 215 Dirksen Senate Office Building, to hear testimony on the President's fiscal year 2000 budget and tax proposals.

The Honorable Robert E. Rubin, Secretary of the Treasury, Washington, D.C., will provide testimony. He will be accompanied by the Honorable Sylvia Mathews, Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Washington, D.C.
