Roth Releases JCT Tables on Tax Bill Passed by the Senate

WASHINGTON -- Senate Finance Committee Chairman William V. Roth, Jr. (R-DE) today released the Joint Committee on Taxation revenue table on the estimated budget effects of H.R. 2488, as passed by the Senate on July 30, 1999. The documents are attached.

"Because of a last minute flurry of amendments accepted by the Senate on Friday, we exceeded our target of a $792 billion tax cut. During the conference process, Chairman Archer and I will return to a $792 billion tax cut," Roth stated.
