WASHINGTON -- Senate Finance Committee Chairman William V. Roth, Jr. (R-DE) today announced that Senate Finance Committee members will meet with Central American and Caribbean heads of state on Thursday, September 23 at 4:30 p.m. in room S-211 in the Capitol. While the meeting will be closed to the public, it will be preceeded by a photo opportunity for members of the media.
The meeting will offer the senators the opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest between the United States and the countries of Central America and the Caribbean. It will also allow for an exchange of views relating to legislation to enhance the Caribbean Basin Initiative program.
