WASHINGTON -- Senate Finance Committee Chairman William V. Roth, Jr. (R-DE) today announced the Committee will meet Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, after the first vote, in the President's Room off of the Senate floor. The Committee will vote to favorably report and confirm the nomination of Deanna Tanner Okun, to be Commissioner of the United States International Trade Commission.
The Committee will also confirm the appointment of Senator Orrin G. Hatch (R-UT) to the Joint Committee on Taxation to fill the seat held by the late Senator John H. Chafee (R-RI).
