The Aug. 23, 2007 letter sent from Sens. Max Baucus and Chuck Grassley incorrectly cited the number of 911-based patient transfers from specialty hospitals in and around Phoenix, Arizona. The KPHO-TV report cited in the letter included transfers from two specialty hospitals and from other types of facilities as well. The actual number of 911-based transfers from specialty hospitals was 16, rather than the 150 cited in the letter and, in turn, the press release.
