Wyden Statement on International Trade Commission Nominee Jason Kearns

The following press release was published by the United States Senate Committee on Finance Chairman's News on Jan. 18, 2017. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON -- Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., issued the following statement on the announcement President Obama nominated Jason Kearns to serve on the International Trade Commission.

“In my view, tireless pursuit of policies that pay off for American workers and communities is the number one qualification for a member of the International Trade Commission. In his nearly fifteen years of government service, Jason Kearns has demonstrated a commitment to those policies, clear expertise in U.S. trade policy and dedication to strong enforcement of U.S. trade laws. These are important qualities for an ITC Commissioner to possess, and I look forward to considering his nomination."
