Wyden Requests Financial Information Related to Alexander Torshin, Other Russian Officials

WASHINGTON-Following news reports regarding links between Russian official Alexander Torshin and the NRA, Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore, ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, requested financial information from the Treasury Department and the National Rifle Association, in letters sent today.

Letter to Treasury Department - Requesting documents, particularly from Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, related to Mr. Torshin, NRA and other Russian officials.

Letter to the NRA - requesting information about contributions or transactions involving Russian officials and business interests, including agents, representatives or intermediaries.
