Camp: Report on Health Care Law is Clear – the Time for Repeal is Now

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on Jan. 24, 2011. It is reproduced in full below.

Washington, DC - Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) today made the following statement in response to the release of the Report on the Economic and Fiscal Consequences of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act :

“Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Cantor’s release of this report echoes what the American people have been telling us since the law went into effect: this is a job-killing, budget-busting health care law. Despite the Democrats’ claims, it is clear this law is bad for families, bad for workers and bad for employers. This is why Congress must repeal this job-killing law and pass solutions that will lower the cost of health care coverage."
