Levin Statement Opposing Latest GOP Repeal Effort

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on July 26, 2013. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON - Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) issued the following statement on next week’s 40th attempt by the House Republicans to repeal the Affordable Care Act:

“Instead of passing a budget and focusing on job creation the House Republicans will - for the 40th time - seek to repeal the Affordable Care Act and take away health care coverage and increase health costs for millions of Americans. House Republicans are trying to use a flawed report from the IRS Inspector General to undermine the implementation of health care reform and to repeal the opportunity for millions of Americans to get affordable health insurance coverage. We should be focused on moving the economy forward, not another repeal vote that is going nowhere."
