WASHINGTON - Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) made the following statement regarding today’s report from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that early results from Accountable Care Organizations showed savings of more than $380 million:

“Today’s report shows promising initial results as health care providers across the country take advantage of incentives and opportunities in the Affordable Care Act to develop better ways to coordinate care for their patients," said Rep. Sandy Levin. “This is yet another example of how health reform has helped reduce spending while working to improve quality and ensuring that Medicare beneficiaries still receive the high quality care they need."
