Education Level Not a Factor in Long-term Unemployment

According to new data from the Department of Labor, the long-term unemployment rate in 2013 was virtually the same across varying types of education level. More than a third of the approximately 10.5 million Americans who are currently unemployed have been out of work for more than six months.

NOTE: Educational attainment estimates refer to persons age 25 and over. Incidence is defined as the percentage of all unemployed who were jobless for 27 weeks or longer.
