Levin Statement on Administration WTO Actions

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on Nov. 13, 2014. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON - Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) today made the following statement in response to recent actions the Administration has taken to move forward two trade agreements at the WTO:

I very much welcome the substantial progress the Administration has made recently on both the expansion of the WTO Information Technology Agreement and the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement. While we will need to study the details of both arrangements, and more work remains to be done, it appears that both outcomes will be good for U.S. businesses and workers. The United States has demonstrated real leadership in these WTO negotiations at a critical time for the organization."
