Ryan Statement on TPA

WASHINGTON - House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) issued the following statement after Senate Democrats blocked consideration of bipartisan trade promotion authority (TPA) legislation.

“With TPA, we have the opportunity for a significant bipartisan achievement to grow the economy and reassert American leadership in the world. I hope my Democratic colleagues who support trade will reconsider their approach and allow the Senate to act. With so much at stake, we must continue to move ahead."
