Brady Statement on 4th Quarter GDP Report

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement regarding the fourth-quarter GDP report.

“It’s been almost seven years since the Obama ‘recovery’ began and our economy is barely out of neutral. Why does America have to settle for this?

“0.7 percent growth is not good enough and Washington should not pretend that it is. If our economy continues at this anemic pace, millions of Americans will remain out of work and even more people will not see the raises they have worked hard to earn. We have to move forward now with a bold agenda that will spur investment, job creation, and wage growth."

NOTE: On Tuesday, February 2nd, the Ways and Means Committee will hold a hearing focused on reaching America’s potential through pro-growth policies that deliver opportunities for all Americans.
