WASHINGTON, D.C. - House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) today released the following statement after the Senate voted to confirm Steven Mnuchin as Secretary of the Treasury:

“I’m pleased the Senate voted to confirm Steven Mnuchin as Treasury Secretary. With decades of private-sector experience, Secretary Mnuchin understands how today’s broken tax code and wasteful spending directly discourage economic growth and make it harder for Americans to get ahead. I look forward to working with him and President Trump’s team of economic advisors to deliver pro-growth tax reform that will create jobs, grow our U.S. economy, and help Americans of all walks of life."
