WASHINGTON, D.C. - Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) today released the following statement as he announced updated subcommittee assignments for Republican Members of the Committee in the 115thCongress:
“Each of our subcommittees will play an integral role as we advance President-elect Trump’s and the American people’s top priorities. Our new subcommittee assignments reflect the broad range of experience our Members bring to Ways and Means. Whether they previously worked as a CPA, nurse, or small business owner, each Member has a unique perspective on how to deliver real solutions to the American people. I’m excited about all we will achieve during the 115th Congress."
Note: Ways and Means Subcommittee assignments were amended on Feb. 15, 2017 after Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price resigned from Congress to assume his new role and Rep. Mike Bishop (R-MI) was selected to fill the open seat.
