Neal Statement on House Sending Debt Limit Legislation to President Biden’s Desk

SPRINGFIELD, MA- Tonight, Ways and Means Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement after the House of Representatives voted to send S.J. Res. 33, legislation raising the debt limit, to President Biden for his signature:

“Now that the Senate has joined us in fulfilling one of Congress’s most basic duties, we can send this measure to President Biden and avert financial disaster. Members of this body are entrusted to put the good of the nation above politics, and congressional Democrats have done that."
