Washington, D.C. - Congressman Howard L. Berman, Ranking Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement on the passing of former Secretary of State Warren Christopher.
"With the passing of Warren Christopher, our nation lost a distinguished public servant. Warren Christopher served his nation, the state of California, and the City of Los Angeles with dedication, determination, and graciousness. He brought his strong intellect to bear on such pressing problems as the Iran hostage crisis, Israeli and Palestinian peace negotiations, the Bosnian war, and racial tensions in Los Angeles. At this sad time, my thoughts are with Warren’s wife Marie, their children, and grandchildren.".
