“The NATO led air campaign succeeded in both preventing a humanitarian catastrophe and creating the conditions necessary for the Libyan people to end decades of oppression under Muammar Qaddafi. The Libyan people deserve a government that protects their rights and freedom. The United States is committed to helping the Libyan people take their next steps toward democracy, and I encourage the international community to remain engaged as well.".
