Chairman Royce Statement on Agreement with Japan in Trans-Pacific Partnership Consultations

Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on the announcement of agreements with Japan as part of the bilateral consultations regarding Japan joining the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

“The Trans-Pacific Partnership has the potential to open up an important market for American goods and services - supporting exports and job creation in the United States. The U.S. and Japan should remain committed to quickly concluding the TPP negotiations in way that maximizes job-creating economic benefits for the U.S.".
