Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and U.S. Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), the Committee’s Ranking Member, issued this joint statement following the murder by ISIS of Jordanian military pilot Moath al-Kasasbeh.
“The gruesome murder of Jordanian pilot Moath al-Kasasbeh is a new low - even for the barbaric ISIS terrorists. He was captured while trying to prevent the spread of ISIS’s campaign of death and destruction. His death is a terrible reminder of the enduring and grave threat ISIS poses to the region. The United States stands in solidarity with the people of Jordan, a critical ally, at this terrible time.".
