Washington, D.C. - House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s decision to send Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes and Jeff DeLaurentis, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Havana, to Fidel Castro’s funeral on Saturday.
“History will record and judge this decision to send U.S. officials to the funeral of a ruthless dictator, murderer, and supporter of terrorism.".
