WASHINGTON-Representative Eliot L. Engel, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, today made the following statement regarding presidential and parliamentary elections in Ghana.
"With its peaceful and transparent elections last week, Ghana has proven that it continues to be a steadfast democracy-and for this I commend the Ghanaian people. As Ghana has been a valued partner for the United States, I congratulate President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo and I look forward to building upon this relationship with him.".
