WASHINGTON-Representative Eliot L. Engel, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, today made the following statement.
"I strongly condemn the assassination of Russia's ambassador to Turkey. Violence against diplomats is never acceptable, and governments must do whatever is necessary to ensure the safety of diplomats serving in their countries. I hope all those responsible for this shocking crime are quickly brought to justice.".
